Seek the wisdom that will untie your knot- Rumi

The first thing I do when I wake up is play my Spotify playlist of Chants & prayers.
Today I somehow stumbled on an album titled Lalita sahastranam . I had never seen or heard about it before.

For past few years I have developed interest in Hindu Mythology ,Vedanta, mantras and chants and like to study them but I am yet to get a grasp on all that our ancient texts and wisdom have to offer.

Monday’s I start my day with Shiva chants and I was desperately trying to reach that playlist.
The Spotify seem to have frozen on Lalita Sahasranamam and I kept wondering what is it, it sounded like Vishnu Sahasranama, is it hymn about thousand names of a goddess, if yes which goddess , when would be a good day /time to chant etc, I made a mental note of finding about it more later.

I went on to play my Shiva chants and continued with my morning routine. It was followed by a few counselling calls.

Anytime I am free between calls I catch up on my reading.
I usually spend a couple of hours each day on reading a physical book.

Today I pulled out a book that I had picked up in India some time ago but had not read it.
I had judged the book by its cover, expected it to be philosophical and would always leave it out.

This book “Kundalini – An untold story “ by Om Swami to my surprise started off with Lalita Sahasranamam and the story of its origin.

The feeling of getting all the answers to questions I had thought of just this morning is indescribable.

The book pronounces it as one of the most potent and powerful hymn and what took me by surprise was the deep relationship between this hymn and the Kundalini(primal energy), which seemed pretty unrelated to me.

In fact, the author says that the first ever mention of Kundalini and the chakras was in the Lalita Sahasranama.

As per the author , The Lalita Sahasranāma, is the most sacred text to Shaktas or worshippers of The Divine Mother. It is an immeasurably potent stotra of a thousand holy names and attributes of the Feminine aspect of the Divine, to invoke, worship and meditate on her cosmic form as Śrī Lalita Devi.

The author Om Swami , a mystic living in Himalayan Foothills went on to illustrate how this prayer is connected with Shiva and how powerful it is in awakening the kundalini.

Sage Veda Vyasa meditated for a number of years and invoked Devi as his latent energy, the knots started untying and subsequent opening of the Chakras, he was an enlightened being.
He authored the fourth Veda i.e. Atharvana Veda and included Devi worship in the passages. Lalitha Sahasranama was first documented in the Brahmanda Purana composed by Vyasa. Eventually, he went on to scribe the 18 puranas and the greatest scripture of all time, Mahabharata

I am pretty stunned.

This book has been with me for sometime you can tell by the look of it and out of all days I pull it out today to read it.

I have been trying to make sense of this experience and what I deduce is that when we ask an honest question, when we inquire, we are led. All answers are around us and within us. The key is asking right questions and staying curious.
Don’t jump on to Google, allow Universe to Amaze you.
