Few months ago, I met a friend for lunch, and as we talked about my health and finding a fun way to exercise, she mentioned something unexpected: aquafitness classes…right in the condo where I live. “It’s early morning, 6:30 am” she said, “and if you’re lucky, you might see some beautiful birds at that hour.”
The thought of seeing birds in the soft morning light captured my imagination, so I signed up for a trial class. The first day, no birds appeared, but the class itself was refreshing and fun, I enjoyed every moment.
On my second morning, I returned, hoping to see the birds .And there it was a magnificent Oriental Pied Hornbill, perched elegantly on a tree by the pool. Watching it as I moved through the water felt like a tiny, magical gift.
I’ve continued with the aquafitness classes ever since. I never saw that bird again, but that one encounter was enough. It led me to a joyful, weekly ritual I now treasure. What started as a simple hope to see a bird became a small miracle guiding me toward health & movement
